Description
On Jul 19, AD 313, Rome issued the Edict of Milan, the most important document in Christian history.
After this edict was issued, Christianity became the main religion of Rome. When Constantine the Great was in power, he discovered that there was an organization within the Christian community which even had a great influence outside the Roman Empire. The Constantine the Great decided to make use of this organization to strengthen his ruling power and issued this edict to promote the status of Christianity.
