Trojan Horse | Awakened |
Description
On Sep 23, 1183 BC, the Greeks' huge wooden horse was used to capture the city of Troy.
In the Trojan War, the Greeks joined forces to attack Troy. Troy's mighty defenses successfully repelled the Greeks for nine years. But Odysseus had a plan. The Greek warships suddenly retreated, leaving behind a giant wooden horse, which the Trojans believed to be a gift. After the Trojans brought the wooden horse inside the city walls, Greek warriors hidden in the wooden horse climbed out and took the city that night. In the end, the city of Troy was looted and burned to ashes.
