Description

On Dec 9, 1955 AD, Tokamak was invented in the NRC KI of the Soviet Union.

Tokamak devices are used for controlled nuclear fusion experiments. The primary reactants of fusion are the isotopes of hydrogen, deuterium, and tritium. Deuterium and tritium must be fused at temperatures of over 100 million degrees Celsius. The tokamak device heats the plasma in confinement by generating a powerful circular magnetic field, creating the high temperatures required for fusion reactions while controlling the response. The research shows that the tokamak can meet the needs for future fusion power plants.
