Description
On Jan 5, 1993, King Dangun Statue was unearthed in Ryugyong suburbs.
The King Dangun Statue, carved from wood, looks like a combination of a bear and a human. From his long beard, you can tell he is an older man. According to legend, Dangun lived 5,000 years ago, founded the kingdom of ancient Koryeo, reigned for 1,500 years, and died when he was nearly 2,000 years old.
