Description
On Feb 15, 551 BC, Leader Zoroaster lit the torch.
Zoroastrianism, or the fire-worshipers, had completed the teachings of worshiping fire. They believed that Mazda created the physical world and fire, and that fire was the eternal light. The discovery and use of fire was important to mankind. When humans mastered the use of fire, they were able to fight against cold climates. Fire can be used for cooking, hunting, and fighting against beasts. It can also bring light, dry wet objects, and melt ice cubes for drinking water, which have greatly increased human's survivability.
