Description
On Feb 11, 1837 AD, The Song of Roland, the oldest epic The Song of Roland, was finalized.
The more complete Oxford manuscript of the epic poem was handed over by Michel to the publisher. The poem has 290 verses and 4001 lines, and is written in colloquial Latin. The poem mainly talks about Charlemagne of France's attack on Spain. Ganelon the Nobel resented General Roland and conspired with the enemy to trick Roland and his army, who then died heroically in Anselva. Charlemagne avenged Roland by wiping out the enemies, conquering Spain, and executing Ganelon, the traitor.
[Famous Lines]
I'd be a traitor if I don't say a word. Roland shouldn't ruin my reputation and property. For this, I want his life and him defeated. There is no crime of treason.
