Description
On May 2, 1876, Otto made the first four-stroke internal combustion engine.
Otto's internal combustion engine runs in a smooth and quiet way. Otto then upgraded the engine by adding flywheels, lengthening the air inlet, and upgrading the cylinder cap, so as to generate mixed gas. Its thermal efficiency is 2 times higher than steam engines. Such thermal efficiency is able to replace steam engines and gives rise to modern four-stroke engines.
