Description

On July 5, AD 1087, the world's most complete Sutras was engraved at the Haeinsa Temple.

When these sutras were first printed, more than 800 monks from all over Korea gathered at Haeinsa Temple, waiting for the scriptures to be published. During the process, the Northern Song Dynasty and Khitan scholars came to help. Monks built a shelf and wooden door to protect the scriptures. Therefore, the complete copy of these sutras has been well-preserved until today.
