Description
On Oct 22, 1826, Francois Rude carved La Marseillaise on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The Marseillaise soldier statue is often used as a template in art lessons. It features the young bearded soldier with a strong and intense facial expression. He raised the helmet in his right hand and turned to the left shouting to the audience. Such battle spirit and enthusiasm can easily leave a deep impression on the audience. With a vivid and energetic body expression with a neat and strong structure, it was known to be the symbol and pride of France.
