Description
On Oct 15, AD 212, Politician Cao Cao built the Bronze Lark Terrace as a Bronze Larks was found in Chang'an.
After Cao Cao wiped out the Yuan brothers, he saw a golden light rising from the ground in Yecheng and found a Bronze Lark. He then ordered the construction of the Bronze Lark Terrace on Zhangshui to demonstrate his ability to rule the world. The building is 27 feet in height, with a 10 feet high platform 5 15-feet high floors. The windows are decorated with copper and reflect light at sunrise. It was said that Cao Cao triggered the Battle of Red Cliffs as he wanted to keep Qiao Sisters in the Bronze Lark Terrace.
