Description

On Dec 22, 1193 BC, Agamemnon put on this mask and entered the Trojan War.

Agamemnon, leader of the Greek Alliance in the Trojan War, ordered artisans to make him a golden mask. Soldiers and artisans caught a young deer with golden antlers. Artisans smelted the antlers to make Agamemnon's mask. However, this animal was sacred to the goddess of hunting, Artemis. Her wrath eventually led to the downfall of Agaememnon.
