Description
On Aug 27, 1714 AD, the Dutch Scientist Fahrenheit invented the world's earliest mercury thermometer.
This thermometer, developed by Fahrenheit himself, is the world's first mercury thermometer. He is an excellent physicist, but in order to make a living, he also studied and engaged in business. He developed not only the mercury thermometer, but also the purification method of making the required mercury, and the temperature scale used as a scale. As his biggest research achievement, the Fahrenheit temperature scale is named after him and is the first empirical temperature scale in the world. Since then, temperature measurement has has a unified standard for the first time and thermal science can embark on the path of experimental science.
