Description
On Sept 10, 1999 AD, the Nebra sky disc was discovered by treasure hunters Henry and Mario.
The Nebra sky disc is a bronze astrolabe covered with a green patina, and gold symbols embedded in the body of the disc. It was discovered in Nebra, Germany, and it is presumed to be a creation of about 1600 BC, attributed to the Early Bronze Age Unetice culture. The golden symbols on the astrolabe include the sun, new moon, and a large number of fixed stars, two arc ornaments marking the angles between the winter and summer solstices, and a solar boat-like pattern at the bottom. People speculate that it may be an ancient astronomical instrument or a symbol of primitive religion.
