Description
On December 19, 1619, Duquesnoy completed the statue of Manneken Pis, a great citizen of Brussels.
The Spanish invaders wanted to blow up the city when they evacuated Brussels. A little boy managed to put out the fire with his tinkle and saved the city. This statue was built in honor of this little hero. Because the statue of the boy is naked, the number of clothes that are donated to him is even enough to fill a museum.

Burnt during the 17th century. French army demolished and sealed the statue in the 18th century. Homeless man Lucas smashed the statue in the 19th century. The statue was only left with two feet one day in the 20th century.
