Description
On Dec 23, 2018 AD, the Kepler Space Telescope officially retired after 11 years of service.
The Kepler Telescope is the first space telescope that searched for terrestrial planets outside the solar system through the observation of their orbits. It could determine the number of terrestrial planets in the habitable zone of a star. It assessed the number and orbital distribution of planets in a multi-star system and determined the density, mass, volume, size, etc. of short-period giant planets.
