Description

On Aug 9, AD 1350, Huang Gongwang created this ink painting that had a great influence on future ink paintings.

Huang Gongwang lived in seclusion in Fuchun River and spent 7 years making this painting. He worked tirelessly to complete this piece by observing the changing clouds of the river and mastering the art of fishing. The river, shores, and peaks of the painting that changes between seasons were presented with free yet natural strokes, which left a great impact on future generations.
