Gear Guide

Firstly some of the best gear in the game will come from fighting not all is rng. Paralysis Ring drops from hitman #15 Nun-chuck drops from the Sewer Turtle questline strength master and Sakabato also drop from the first few hitmen in short some of the best gear as seen on discord is available from just playing the game.

Gear operates on a tiered system: green, blue, purple, orange or red. Each piece of gear has the potential to be enhanced up to the red variant. This advancement not only alters its appearance and name but also provides a substantial stat increase, requiring rare materials like the Eye of Horus. Once a piece of gear has achieved this red status, it can be merged with another red gear and Amulet of Will. Once merged, the newly combined gear will possess combined HARD stats with both effects of the combining item.

Now why some gear is simply better than other gear. If you have played at all and asked around anyone will tell you Norris-chuck is the best craftable early game item. but its also the best late game as it scales in the % category. using a reference whether an enemy has 1 million or 100 defense. Norris-chuck removes 12% that's 880,000 defense left for the first enemy and 88 for the 2nd. while the first isn't realistic the 2nd shows a smaller scale of why its useful in regular combat as a defense decrease is an offense increase for you. Another recommended weapon is the walnut wand/old mans staff. it gives elemental damage which similar yet different to Norris-chuck ignores the enemy's DEF stat completely and hits their HP with the only factor decreasing it Elemental RES which is why most armor isn't recommended since that's often the only upside to them. using the same example an enemy with a million or 100 def will still take 960 damage unless they have any resistance equipment like Magician which Boosts all resistance including poison which is inflicted from Drazgul's Fang the 100$ item.

Now for any +1 item its not the hardest to get one or two amulets; an Eye of Horus, Heaven Wing, Abyss Wing, and Crystal of Will. this will combine two items with same stats as previously mentioned give a small HARD buff and will give you one item with the previous forms bonus but not add on to it. for example combining Bedrock and Fortress will still only give Earth RES +360 AND DMG Reduction +9.6% effectively freeing up a gear slot for other item use. however normal play you wouldn't waste resources fusing these 2 items as most players wont have Bedrock as a main gear. The upside to fusing to +1 is it allows reaching +2 +3 +4 etc up to +9 where the game caps out gear. we currently only have data for most items up to +4 and while there is a pattern we cannot confirm nor deny if gear will follow it or scale differently. but this gives reason to craft other gear to + versions such as the previously mentioned Fortress only having 9.6% dmg reduction it can now increase to 11.2% effectively reducing an enemy's damage by a tenth. the downside as shown in the material section is that each version needs 100 orange reagent times the level of will amulet made.
