Description
On Aug 14, AD 487, Dunhuang Murals, the future treasure artwork of the world, were created in a cave.
A master craftsman painted murals of flying gods inside a dark cave. The flying gods are musicians and dancers in the Buddha land. The god who is holding the pipa upside down is known as the Flying Musician. These murals can be traced back to many dynasties and have existed for centuries. It was a rather unique product of the integration of Buddhism and Taoism. But since the day it was discovered, the destruction toward it never ceased to stop and only a small part of it remains today.
