Description
On Mar 23, 70 AD, many ancient scrolls were buried in the northwest of the Dead Sea.
1000 years ago, Moses led the enslaved Hebtews to the Dead Sea. But this lifeless sea was far from the "Promised Land" they were looking for. Moses did not give up as he believed that God would not forsake his people. The Hebrews recorded what Moses did on the sheepskin, "He found a dying sapling on the shore and dug a hole with his cane. He planted the sapling again along the coast, and the branches were covered with salt. We use the remaining fresh water for irrigation and collect salt from the tree for trading. This was the hope that God has given to the Hebrews, and not even the outsiders could enjoy such privileges." 1000 years later, when the Persian Empire invaded, what remained was no vibrant oasis but the lifeless salt sea, and the sheepskin left by the Hebrews.
