Description
On Mar 26, 1919 AD, Rutherford used the particles emitted by natural radioactive sources as shells to bombard the air, realizing the artificial transmutation of atomic nuclei for the first time.
In a broad sense, chain reaction refers to the product or result of the reaction, including the reaction of its occurrence conditions, but generally refers to physical nuclear reactions such as nuclear fission of uranium. Nuclear reactions are mainly divided into four types: decay, particle bombardment, fission, and fusion, the last three are artificial nuclear reactions. The biggest difference between them and general chemical reactions is that the latter is only the reorganization of atoms or ions, the process of arranging and combining, and the nuclear reaction means the transfer of particles between the nucleus and the interstitial substance, which will lead to atom transformation and cause huge energy pulse.
