Description
On May 4, 267 BC, Archimedes calculated the length of the lever to move the Earth.
Archimedes said: "Give me a firm place to stand and a lever and I can move the Earth."
The 5 elements of the law of the lever include fulcrum, power, resistance, power arm, and resistance arm. To achieve lever balance, the two forces acting on the lever should be the same. To move heavy objects with a force that is less than the resistance, the distance of the power arm should be longer than the distance of the resistance arm.
