Description
On Apr 26, 1034 AD, the statue of Ambika was carved by Jains.
This white marble statue is a statue of the goddess Ambika, carved during the Paramara Dynasty in ancient India. The sculpture Ambika stands on a stepped base in the form of a relief, with a wreath crown on her head, long hair hanging on the side, and a blessing inscribed on its back. Ambika is one of 24 yaksha women of Jain mythology. In typical images, she has four arms, but in this statue, she only has two arms - one holding an elephant stick, the other holding a branch of the Ahsoka tree, which symbolizes seeking blessings and hope for a better life.
