Description
On February 25, 1926, the International Olympic Committee decided to officially designate the Winter Sports Week held in Chamonix two years earlier as the first Winter Olympics.
This badge originates from the inaugural Winter Olympics in the early 20th century. At the time, winter sports were thriving in various countries, and under the initiative of the IOC founder Pierre de Coubertin, the International Olympic Committee organized a Winter Sports Week in Chamonix, France. The success of this event led to its recognition as part of the Olympic Games, marking the inception of the Winter Olympics.
