Description
On Jan 28, 5000 BC, Anubis, the Egyptian god of the dead, used the scale to weigh hearts for the first time.
Anubis, god of the underworld, uses a scale to weigh the hearts of the dead. If the owner of the heart lived a good life, the heart would weigh lighter than the feather of Ma'at, and it may enter into the afterworld. If the heart weighed heavier than a feather, then the heart would be eaten by the goddess, Ammit, with the head of a crocodile, the body of a lion, and the hind legs of a hippo.
