Description
On Jun 5, 1954, Jerrold Zacharias and MIT built this atomic clock.
The Atomic Clock uses the electrons of the atoms to radiate electromagnetic waves and control the electron oscillator and the movement of the clock. In the past, the definition of time was based on the orbital time of Earth, but as people did the calculation and measurement of the orbit, a need for a more precise and reliable definition of time appeared. Louis Essen redefined the concept of seconds based on the transition period of cesium atoms.
